Trent Keirnan

Trent is a founding Director of Azure and sits across all areas of the group’s activities with a specific passion for the acquisitions, sales and marketing areas of the group.

Trent commenced in property development at a young age whilst studying an Arts / Law degree.

During the 20 years of experience he gained whilst establishing the TAK Property Group, Trent constructed a number of houses, units and commercial developments in South East Queensland.

Trent was involved in all aspects of the development process from site acquisitions, planning, approvals, cost management, construction and sales and many of his projects were accredited with achieving above market prices, a testament to his understanding of the communities in which he operates.

He is continually acknowledged by his peers and has been recognised through 28 property / Housing Industry Association of Australia awards relating to design, construction and innovation including national awards such as the 2009 Australian Home of the Year.

Trent has an underlying ethos of an untiring commitment to quality and excellence – a hallmark of Azure.

Chris Schroor

Chris is a founding Director of Azure and sits across all areas of the group’s activities, with a specific focus on acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

Chris was previously Executive Director – Commercial Development for Springfield Land Corporation. During his 10 years in that role he spear headed all development associated with the $8bn, 2830ha master planned city. This involved all aspects of the development process and a significant focus on managing strategic relationships. He has been directly involved in partnerships with groups such as James Fielding, Mirvac, Maquarie Bank, Suncorp, NEC, Telstra, Energex, University of Southern Queensland, ABC Childcare, Leighton and Lend Lease.

Prior to Springfield Chris worked for 10 years in general contracting for Cordukes as a Construction and Business Development Manager. In this role he gained an intimate knowledge of construction delivery and the importance of building long term partnerships.

Chris is also passionate about the role Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has in built environments and this lead him to develop Springfield’s 72km dark fibre network and the $230M Polaris Data Centre. This passion drives Azure’s activities in Data Centres globally.

John Fewster

John is a founding Director of Azure and sits across all areas of the group’s activities with a specific focus on the design, procurement and delivery of the group’s Australian and Asian interests.

As a qualified Architect, with advanced studies at Stanford University (USA), John over 28 years has obtained extensive experience in projects in both Australia, Asia and Europe. During this time he spent 13 years as a Project Director with Thiess controlling the delivery of hundred’s of millions of dollars of projects in the residential, commercial, industrial, health and education sectors.

As a strategic advisor to many successful development organisations in the areas of Project Development, Design and Construction Management and Project Procurement, John is also recognised as an international authority in the delivery of Data Centres which is a strong focus for the groups future.

Jason Dawson

Jason is the Chief Financial Officer for the Azure Group and sits across all financial interests of the group, including ongoing monitoring of the group’s financial position.

As a Chartered Accountant with a further degree in Applied Science, Jason has over 20 years of diverse experience in the property and construction industry. During this time he developed as an owner of a successful contracting business with a staff of 60. Upon selling his business interests, Jason successfully completed the prestigious Chartered Accountants Program, whilst spending time in some of Brisbane’s premier accounting firms. He then returned to the property industry to join Trent Keirnan (an Azure Director) as CFO of TAK Property Group. Jason is recognised for his ability to marry development opportunities with the complex funding requirements in current markets.

For Azure Jason is integral to the assessment of the viability and suitability of projects and investments in relation to deployment of the groups funds. Jason is responsible for reporting to the group Directors on the structuring of projects, their profitability and all financial implications involved together with maintaining the groups compliance with statutory , tax and other regulatory bodies.

Paul Plasto

Senior Development Manager

Paul is Senior Development Manager for the Azure Group and takes responsibility and accountability for projects in the delivery phase.

Paul is a qualified Quantity Surveyor with over 20 years experience in the industry, in technical, administrative and general management positions. Paul provides the group with significant, and recent, project delivery experience.

Prior to joining Azure Paul successfully ran his own construction and construction services consulting company for a period of 14 years. During this time he delivered multiple Award Winning residential apartment projects, as well as commercial and club developments. He was also Regional Manager for the Central Queensland division of Thomas & Coffey Limited where he had significant exposure to the mining sector and clients such as Rio Tinto, Shell, Xstrata and BHP.

Pauls earlier work experience saw him work through estimating, contract administration, project management and then group construction manager positions within Cordukes Limited. During this time he was responsible for delivering Apartments, Hotels, Shopping Centres, Sporting Clubs, University Facilities, Medical Facilities, Offices and Public Buildings such as courthouses.

Guy Walters

Construction Manager

Guy is the Construction Manager within Azure Group and works across projects that are in the delivery phase with a specific focus on the performance of appointed contractors and their delivery of the Azure project vision.

Guy is a qualified builder with over 15 years worth of construction experience. Delivering complex projects from schools, public infrastructure, churches, multi unit residential buildings and even facilities such as the Olympic Pool, has developed Guy in to a strong performer in the areas of project procurement, contractor management, design engineering and cost control.

More recently as Construction Manager for the TAK Property Group, Guy has delivered some of South East Queensland’s most prestigious residences. Many of which have been recognised with industry awards which is a testament to his results driven ethos.

Michelle Turner

Michelle is Asset Manager for the Azure Group and takes responsibility and accountability for the groups assets. She also controls Body Corporate Management, sales and leasing management and sales contract administration.

Michelle has over 15 years of experience in the property, construction and development industry in senior management and administrative positions. More recently in her previous role prior to joining Azure, Michelle was managing multi-million dollar residential, retail, office and bulky goods assets whilst also coordinating their project development.

During her earlier working life Michelle was practice manager for a leading Brisbane Architect firm and financial controller and administration manager for a Property Services business. These roles have assisted the development of her extensive knowledge of administrative systems and financial reporting.

Michelle’s relationship based approach to her role aligns with Azure’s culture and her management of the Azure Groups assets and divestment of its retail residential pipeline is crucial to its success over the coming years.
